Privacy Policy

What we hold, and who can see it.

How browsing, accounts, enquiries, directory listings and news summaries use information on TaxSpoc.

01

Who this policy covers

This policy explains how TaxSpoc handles information when you browse articles and news, use the jobs and directory pages, register or submit a form. You do not need an account to browse public content. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@taxspoc.com.

02

Information you give us

Optional account registration collects your email, sign-in credentials and the profile details you provide. The mailbox sign-up stores your email for interest in TaxSpoc updates. Contact forms collect your name, email, enquiry topic and message; sponsorship forms collect your contact and enquiry details. Directory submissions collect the organisation or product name, category, service type, geographical scope, description, website and a contact person’s name and email. Please do not include sensitive personal information or confidential client material in a submission.

03

Member preferences and saved items

When signed in, you can save tax topics, jurisdictions, regions and career preferences to personalise your For You articles and jobs. Saved articles and job links are stored in your private account library. Other visitors cannot read these preferences or saved items. You can change or clear your preferences in Settings and remove saved items from your library. Saving preferences does not subscribe you to email newsletters or job alerts, which are not yet enabled. We retain these records until you remove them or request account-data deletion.

04

How we use it

We use account information to provide sign-in and administer accounts, enquiry details to review and respond to requests, directory information to assess and publish listings, and mailbox sign-ups to record interest in updates. Technical information helps operate, secure and troubleshoot the website. Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, these purposes may rely on providing a requested service, legitimate interests in running a secure website and handling enquiries, consent for optional email updates, or a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent to optional updates by contacting us.

05

Public directory details

Submissions are held privately pending administrator review. If approved, the listing name, category, service type, scope, description and website become public across the directory and relevant site pages. The submission contact name, contact email and review notes are not included in the public listing. Public details can be read or copied by visitors and search engines. Contact us to request a correction or removal.

06

News summaries and AI processing

When a news story is first opened, its publisher name, headline and RSS excerpt may be sent to an AI language-model provider to create a short summary. The summary is saved and reused for later readers. That request does not include your account profile or contact-form message. Provider processing and retention terms apply; we do not promise that all processing stays within one country. The separate member AI chat and document-upload workspace are currently disabled. If you previously used them, existing records may remain until removed or requested for deletion.

07

Service providers and access

The site runs on a third-party cloud hosting network, which delivers pages and processes ordinary request data. Accounts, sign-in credentials and form submissions are stored with a managed database and authentication provider. Editorial content, article images and photography are stored and served by content-management and image-delivery providers. These service providers process information needed for their services. Authorised administrators can access submissions and account records to operate the site and handle requests. Enquiry notification emails are not currently enabled; if enabled later, the enquiry details will also be processed by the email delivery service and the TaxSpoc receiving mailbox. Information may be processed outside your country, subject to the providers’ applicable safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

08

Browser storage and technical information

The site uses browser storage to keep sign-in sessions, remember dismissal of the optional registration prompt and prevent repeated recovery reloads. The site and its hosting services may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested page and errors, to deliver and protect the service. We have not added advertising trackers to the application. You can clear site data in your browser or sign out; clearing storage may sign you out or cause the registration prompt to appear again.

09

Links to other websites

Job applications take place on the original advertiser’s website, not on TaxSpoc. Publisher links and directory website links also lead to third parties with their own privacy policies. We do not collect job application documents through the public jobs page. External providers may receive ordinary connection details when your browser loads their content or you follow a link.

10

Retention and security

There is currently no automatic expiry schedule for account records, mailbox sign-ups or form submissions. We keep them to administer accounts, handle enquiries and maintain listings, and review deletion requests rather than promising automatic removal once an enquiry is resolved. Some information may need to remain for legal obligations, security or backup recovery. Access controls protect private records, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

11

Your privacy choices and rights

Contact hello@taxspoc.com to request access to your information, correction, deletion, removal from the mailbox list or withdrawal of consent. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection and a complaint to your data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting and will handle requests within the applicable legal timeframe. Unregistering or deleting an account does not automatically remove a public directory listing; tell us if you also want it reviewed or removed.

12

If this changes

We will update this policy and its date when the website’s data practices change. Please check it when using a new feature or submitting information.

To ask for a copy of your data, or its deletion, email hello@taxspoc.com.
